The auto air conditioner is made up of various Air Conditioner Parts, which have very specific functionalities. To start with the compressor does the job of air compression; the main job of the compressor is to compress the present air and to circulate the refrigerant in the entire air conditioner system. There is specific component required in the car called refrigerant required to carry the heat. The new auto air conditioner uses the substance which is known as called R-134a which acts as a refrigerant, the older versions of the auto air conditioner used to use r-12 Freon. Use of r-12 Freon has been curbed because it is becoming expensive these days, also it’s hard to find and required proper license to sell and use the same.
Condenser is one of the major Air Conditioner Parts and has a very important role to play in the auto air conditioner. Condenser is the part in the air conditioner which is responsible to change the phase of the refrigerant from gas to liquid. Another job of condenser is to remove the head generated in the machine. Expansion valve is another part that helps to continuously drop the pressure of the refrigerant liquid then to control its flow and also atomize it. The expansion valve is also known as orifice tube in some vehicles, it’s in the form of a nozzle. Another part called evaporator is responsible for cooling the car, this part pushes the heat out of the air that blows across the refrigerant. Now last but not the least id receiver/dryer, who is responsible for removing moisture and other contaminants and filter the refrigerant.
